Costa Rica is well known for its deep, blue, crystalline waters that offer some of the most magnificent fishing experiences in the world.
Dorado fishThe Osa Penninsula and Drake Bay, often referred to as the "gem of Costa Rica", has diverse wilderness areas, beautiful scenery and world class wild life viewing. These waters off of Drake Bay offer world class bill fishing and instead of seasonal fishing, boast a wide array of species throughout the year.
Following is a list of species abundant in the southern Costa Rica waters:

Rooster Fish - Dorado - Sailfish - Snook - Marlin - Wahoo - Tuna

Other species like Kingfish, Spanish and Cero Mackerel, Jack Crevalle and Barracuda are abundant close to shore anytime through the year when the ocean is flat.

Captain Nick is a current US Coast Guard Licensed Captain with 25 years experience.
His boat “EL Hooksetter” is a custom Costa Boat outfitted with top of the line gear and electronics, fully insured and equipped to USCG Standards. Your safety and comfort are assured.

Snorkel, Troll, Bottom Fish: Full Day $650 w/lunch (6) people max. Snorkeling only (8) people max.

A great way to take everyone out for fun. Troll for inshore fish, Jack, Mackeral, Rainbow Runner and Rooster while traveling towards San Josecito. Once you arrive at the snorkeling area you can hike a short trail to the Rio Claro. We’ll stay for around two hours and then troll towards an area well known for tuna and bottom fishing for snapper.
The Drake Bay and Cano Island waters are famous for the variety of dolphins, sea turtles and whales. Always a great chance to see them when trolling. This tour is suited for all to get an overall experience and feel for the ocean. Any edible fish caught are cleaned and iced for you to take and prepare for dinner!

½ Day River Fishing in the Sierpe: $250
Fishing, Casting and Trolling.
Times vary according to the tides.
Possible catches: Triple Tail, Snook (Black Finn, Common and Fat), Pargo (Red Snapper), Rooster fish, Tilapia and Pacific Grout.

Tuna fish

All Fishing gear provided: Avet & Shimano Reels.
Lunch: sandwiches, fruits, pasta salad, juice, water and cookies.
Full shade and room to walk around.
Comfortable padded bow great for sunbathing.
